KRS 403.720(1) defines Domestic Violence and abuse as "physical injury, serious physical injury, sexual abuse, assault, or the infliction of fear of imminent physical injury, serious physical injury, sexual abuse or assault between family members or member of an unmarried couple.
Peaceful Solutions Counseling Services, LLC Batterer Intervention Program (BIP):
Individual's court ordered by area County District, Family or Circuit Courts for an assessment by a certified provider will be screened for enrollment in the Batterer Intervention Program. If the individual meets eligibility criteria for the program, the court will be notified upon completion of the assessment. Individual's transferring from other counties or agencies must meet eligibility criteria for admission into the program.The treatment sessions consist of fourteen (14) weeks and weekly attendance is mandatory. The sessions are sixty (60) minutes in length.
